Joseph Charotte known as Charotte-Millot was born in 1798 in Mirecourt and died in 1849 in the same city. The top is in perfect condition. The back and sides are made of a very nice birdseye maple. The frets are in perfect condition, the fingerboard has a curved shape between the frets as other luthiers of the time did. The sound qualities are splendid with a timbre inspiring the same impression as the beautiful motifs of the rosette: sweetness and lyricism.
