Christopher Dean was born in Lincoln, England, in 1958. He built his first guitar himself at the age of 18, inspired by Irving Sloane's book. From this experience, he entered the London College of Furniture in the musical instrument department. He was later apprenticed to Paul Fisher, with whom he worked for 3 years from 1982 to 1985. He opened his first workshop in the Cotswolds in 1985, before moving to Oxfordshire. Over the years, his name became renowned, and his guitars are sought after the world over.
The superb guitar presented here is the number 525. Elegance, finesse and precision down to the smallest detail are to be found in the aesthetics and craftsmanship. Soundwise, it's a powerful, well-balanced instrument. The timbre is warm, woody and expressive. The suppleness and flexibility of the notes offer a wide sound palette. These qualities, combined with ease of play, make this a remarkable instrument in every aspect. A guitar to discover for those who do not know yet the talent of this luthier.
