Enrico Bottelli was born in Milan in 1961. He began to learn guitar making in 1981 with the Milanese master luthier Carlo Raspagni (pupil of Pietro Gallinotti). Bottelli began building his own classical guitars in 1988. The quality of his lutherie work, his instruments' aesthetic standard and beauty of sound have earned him an international reputation. He has just been awarded the 2020 lutherie prize by the "Convegno Internazionale di chitarra di Milano". (see article Orfeo Magazine)
This guitar's aesthetic and beauty of tone is breathtaking. Enrico Bottelli used the very best materials: Indian rosewood from the 90s, light and reactive spruce from the Italian Alps (Val di Fiemme) from 2004. He added 1.5 mm snakewood purfling and binding which give a very elegant touch and harmonize with the knobs of the Klaus Scheller tuners. Soundwise, it is a powerful, balanced and responsive instrument with dense, round, clear and singing notes. This guitar has a deep and expressive timbre; the polyphonic discourse is clear and the musicality simply wonderful.
