Florian Chauvet is a luthier based in Fondettes near Tours. He trained in classical guitar at the Conservatoire, and also has a university degree in musicology. In the early 2000s, he began his career as a luthier, first as a self-taught craftsman, then as a continuing education apprentice. With 15 years' experience as a concert guitarist, he understands the needs of classical guitarists. He specializes in building double-top guitars, but also builds traditional guitars.
This instrument, built in 2021, corresponds to the double-top model. The lutherie work shows all the experience acquired by this luthier over the years. Soundwise, this is a powerful, homogeneous guitar. Notes are clear, colorful and flexible. An instrument with a strong personality, combining the power of the double top with an expressive woody timbre. A fine concert guitar for those unfamiliar with the work of this young luthier.
