Arnoldo García initially studied electronics, physics of material resistance, acoustics and robotics, before starting in 1973 to devote himself to the study and construction of plucked string instruments. In addition to classical guitars, he builds baroque and romantic intruments. Since 2016, he has been professor of lutherie at the Basque Country School of Music in San Sebastián.
This guitar was built in 2010 when the luthier was based in Málaga, Andalusia. The aesthetics are fine and the craftsmanship is well done. Soundwise, the notes are clear, singing and rich in harmonics, and the timbre is woody and expressive. A fine instrument to discover...
