Giuseppe Corasaniti is a young and talented Italian luthier born in 1989 in Catanzaro. His passion for music led him to learn the classical guitar. His interest for the instrument, his curiosity for manual arts and woodworking will push him to learn lutherie. In 2009, he enters the Civica Scuola di Liuteria of Milan, from which he graduates in 2014. During this training he learns instrument making, restoration, organology, acoustic physics, chemistry, various techniques for documenting and restoring, drawing and surveying instruments, while continuing an instrumental and musical practice. The study of the great masters of the classical guitar led him to deepen his knowledge of construction techniques. At the end of his studies, he returned to Calabria where he set up his workshop in Davoli, a small village in the province of Catanzaro. It is in this environment, located between mountains and sea, that he begins his work of creation of guitars.
The instrument presented here, of a sober and elegant aesthetics, shows an obvious know-how, both in the work of lutherie and in the sound qualities. The notes are clear, homogeneous and well present in all registers, they remain well defined and allow a precise and expressive musical discourse.
