HyeongGeon Lee was born in 1996 in Busan, South Korea. He began building guitars in 2013, training with the South Korean luthier Moonseok Choi. He later moved to Germany, to Markneukirchen, an important town in the history of musical instrument making. His work is influenced by Antonio Marín Montero and Robert Bouchet. The top is cedar, the sides are doubled, with a 5-stut fan bracing and a bar under the bridge.
Soundwise, this is a powerful, responsive and well-balanced instrument. Notes are clear, dense, vibrant and rich in harmonics. The timbre is woody and expressive. The low setting, slim neck and beautiful musicality make this an endearing instrument that's a pleasure to play.
