José Vigil was born into a family of musicians, he himself has been playing the guitar since he was a child. His love for woodworking combined with his musical background naturally led him to lutherie. He trained and settled in Granada, where he benefited from the advice of experienced luthiers: Antonio Marín, Rafael Moreno and also Edmund Blochinger.
Because of the remarkable quality of his work, his name quickly established itself at the highest international level: you only have to see and listen to this guitar to understand the reasons for this success. The aesthetics are of great beauty and the lutherie work is remarkable, the finesse of the rosette with its colours and a ondulating motif recalls those of Santos Hernández.
Soundwise, we find the tradition of Granada in the most beautiful things it has to offer. A powerful and well-balanced instrument with a reactive response and an incredible richness of timbre and colours. The notes are dense, the voices very distinct. If the rosette recalls those of Santos Hernández, we find this similarity in the character of this guitar, deep and grave : an exceptional guitar.
