Kazuo Sato was born in Tokyo in 1946. In 1965 he began to learn his craft with master luthier Kuniharu Nobe. He moved to England in 1971 where he built guitars in the David Rubio workshop, stamping his initials "KS" on the internal heel above the label. In 1974 he set up his own workshop in Hekelgem (Belgium), and then, in 1976, moved to Saarlouis (Germany) where he's remained to this day.
This guitar's aesthetics is sober and elegant. Soundwise, it is a powerful, responsive and well-balanced instrument. The bass is deep, the treble clear and expressive. It has a round and generous tone. Its flexibility and quick response make it a comfortable and enjoyable instrument to play.
