Daniel Lago Nuñez was born in a village near Pontevedra in Spain (Vigo region) in 1890, and emigrated to Buenos-Aires in 1911, where he was reunited with his uncle, Francisco Nuñez, founder of Casa Nunñez. His work is in the original Barcelona tradition (Garcia, Simplicio...). In fact, his guitars have sounds similar to those of these historic luthiers. Such is the case of this 1953 guitar presented here. The notes are round, mellow and singing. The timbre is woody and expressive, with the typical charm of early twentieth-century instruments.
