Manuel Bellido was born in Granada in 1939. He started working as a cabinetmaker at the age of 13. At the age of 16, he entered Eduardo Ferrer's Casa as an apprentice violin maker and spent the next four years there. In 1960 he opened his own workshop, which he shared for several years with Antonio Marin Montero, together they formed several of the greatest luthiers in Granada.
It is a powerful instrument, the basses are deep, the notes are vibrant, singing and expressive. An instrument of exceptional quality to reflect the reputation of this great name in Granada's lutherie.
