Panormo is one of the great names in 19th century lutherie. The father Vicenze (1734-1813) was a Sicilian violin maker who came with his four sons to London via France where Louis Panormo (1784 - 1862) was born. The "Fecit" model was built in the French and Italian style. It is a very lively instrument with a superb expressiveness.
