Paulino Bernabe is one of the most famous names in Spanish guitar making. Paulino Bernabe Sr. (1932 - 2007) worked for José Ramirez in the 50s and 60s before opening his own workshop in 1969. His son, born in 1960, grew up in this workshop. At 17 he made his first guitar and continued to assimilate his father's craftsmanship for about thirty years. The outstanding qualities of this "Concierto model" demonstrate that Paulino Bernabé Jr. has indeed preserved this Madrid heritage. This guitar displays excellent workmanship and tone woods of the highest quality.
Soundwise, it is a very powerful instrument, with round and full basses, clear, singing, and colourful trebles as well as an expressive and rich timbre. Its sound projection, balance, dynamics, combined with its precise and well-defined voices and its playability make it an excellent concert guitar.
