Rafael Moreno was born in 1954. He began to build guitars at the age of 13 years. After his first training at Manuel Lopez Bellido and Antonio Marin, he perfected his knowledge at Eduardo Ferrer known for his talents as a teacher.
In 1976 Rafael Moreno opens his studio 10 Calle Jesus y Maria in Granada, he still works at this address.
The head of his guitars takes again the motif of the tail of the grenade, as can be seen on the cover of the Orfeo n ° 8 dedicated to the luthiers of Granada.
The work of lutherie is of great finesse.
This guitar has an exceptionally beautiful timbre, it sings in a voice full of emotion, intonations that recall certain poems of Garcia Lorca ...
La guitarra
hace llorar a los sueños.
El sollozo de las almas
perdidas
se escapa por su boca
redonda.
Y como la tarántula,
teje una gran estrella
para cazar suspiros,
que flotan en su negro
aljibe de madera.
Las seis cuerdas, F, García Lorca (1924)
