Stephan Connor is one of today's most sought-after guitar makers: his guitars are played by top concert guitarists around the world. He has been building guitars since 1994, and his workshop is located in Cape Code, Massachusetts (south of Boston). As can be seen on this guitar, he uses the best possible materials and the best choice of woods (the top is beautiful) in order to obtain optimal performance. The craftsmanship is of exceptional quality. Each of his guitars has a personalized rosette, this one (inspired by a drawing of his son) represents hummingbirds, it is absolutely superb and brings a touch of joy in our current world context. This guitar is equipped with a removable Tornavoz whose purpose is to lower the internal frequency of the body, and also with an oval opening on the top soundhole that can be completely or partially closed.
The sound is a perfect synthesis between the performance of modern guitars: power, dynamics, consistency, solidity, and the most beautiful qualities of traditional lutherie: clear, woody, singing notes with a deep and expressive tone. The construction with its own bracing gives the top a lightness and freedom that is reflected in the musicality.
