Steve Connor is one of today's most sought-after luthiers: his guitars are played by leading concert artists worldwide. He has been building guitars since 1994, and his workshop is located in Cape Code, Massachusetts (south of Boston). The woods are of the highest quality: the spruce for the top and the satinwood for the back and sides are superb. The craftsmanship is finely executed. This guitar is equipped with a removable Tornavoz whose purpose is to lower the internal frequency of the body, and also with an oval opening on the top soundhole that can be completely or partially closed.
Soundwise, the result is a perfect balance between the performance of modern guitars (power, dynamics, consistency, solidity) and the qualities of traditional lutherie. Notes are clear, rich in harmonics, singing with a deep, expressive and woody timbre. The construction with self-designed bracing gives the soundboard a lightness and freedom that are reflected in the musicality. Power, reactivity and low setting make this guitar easy and pleasant to play. A beautiful concert instrument with exceptional performance that we invite you to come and discover.
